I remember Day One like it was yesterday, but 18 months later, I'm stronger than I ever imagined. I am finding my way and my son and I are creating new memories every day, our memories!

Having the community I do is the only thing keeping me going most days. But I feel like I am just inches away from turning the corner so that I can officially move forward.

I try to remind myself everyday that I have to go through the struggle to get to the other side. I have struggled for the past 5 years to find happiness, to just accept things as they are. I am going to school working part time, at close to minimum wage, and with little to no help from my sons father. I don't have any family members to help take care of my son so I am struggling to find a decent job that has flexible enough hours. I take one step everyday that will improve things for the future, or even just next week.
I have good days and bad days. and on bad days its hard to keep up with just the daily events. I am searching to find the happiness that I once had inside myself. It's there, I know but its buried deep.
